Contribute a theme
Annalium is free to use. Its first open-source surface is the theme kit: designers, typographers, and historians can craft a historically grounded look for a specific era — without access to the private app code.
What a theme styles
A theme restyles only Annalium's chrome — the top bar, category strip, events and timeline panels, the era banner, and event and boundary accents. The basemap stays neutral, so geography is readable and comparable across every era. Body text always sits on a flat, readable surface and ornament stays subtle (WCAG AA contrast; no pattern behind reading text).
