1. Heiji rebellion1160 CE
   The Heiji rebellion was a short civil war between rival subjects of the cloistered Emperor Go-Shirakawa of Japan in 1160 fought in order to resolve a dispute about political power. It was preceded by the Hōgen Rebellion in 1156. Heiji no ran is seen as a direct outcome of the earlier armed dispute; but unlike Hōgen no ran, which was a dispute between Emperors in which members of the same clan fought on different sides, this was rather a struggle for power between two rival samurai clans. It is also seen as a precursor of a broader civil war.
2. Battle of Fujigawa1180 CE
   The Battle of Fujigawa was a battle of the Genpei War of the Heian period of Japanese history. It took place in 1180, in what is now Shizuoka Prefecture.
3. Battle of Ishibashiyama1180 CE
   The Battle of Ishibashiyama was fought on August 24th, 1180 or September 14th, 1180 at the end of the Heian period between Minamoto no Yoritomo, who became the first shōgun of Japan less than a decade later, and the forces of the Taira clan, including Ōba Kagechika. It was the first battle in which Yoritomo was commander of the Minamoto forces.
4. Siege of Kanasa Castle1180 CE
   The Battle of Kanasa Castle began on the night of 4 November 1180 or 22 November 1180, and ended on the 5th at Kanasa Castle in Hitachi Province between the Minamoto clan led by Minamoto no Yoritomo and the Satake clan led by Satake Hideyoshi. It ended with a Minamoto victory.

   The Battle of Nogi-miya was a battle fought on February 23, 1183 (March 18, 1183) at the Nogi-miya in Shimotsuke Province.
6. Battle of Ōshū1189 CE
   The Battle of Ōshū was a major battle between the Kamakura government and the Northern Fujiwara that took place in the Tōhoku region of Japan from September 1 to October 14, 1189. It resulted in the downfall of the Northern Fujiwara and the completion of Minamoto no Yoritomo's nationwide domination through the annexation of Mutsu and Dewa Province by the Kamakura shogunate. It was the last battle of the period of civil war known as the Jishō-Juei War that began in 1180, and its end marked the establishment of the first military government, the Kamakura shogunate.
